Codi Peters, Veterinary Technician

Codi Peters was born and raised in Fredericksburg. Her love for animals developed at an early age, and she began volunteering at the Hill Country SPCA while she was in elementary school. She discovered a deep interest in pet care and continued volunteering at the SPCA through high school. After graduating from Fredericksburg High School in 2015, she continued her studies at Texas State University. Upon returning to Fredericksburg, Codi was employed by the Hill Country SPCA as an animal care specialist.

In February 2020, Codi joined the FEVS team. She brings a wealth of pet care experience and heartfelt care to our patients. In addition to her years at the Hill Country SPCA, Codi has personally bottle-raised dozens of puppies and kittens. She has also used her talents to help displaced pigs. Through her own fostering program, Codi helped many wild and domestic pigs find good homes. She also gained equine experience by caring for her friends’ horses. Codi also has her Fear Free Certification.

In her free time, Codi enjoys time with her family and river trips. She has a precious daughter who was born in 2018. Her other “children” include five dogs, one cat, and 2 potbelly pigs.
