Kelsey Duarte, DVM

Dr. Kelsey Duarte was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. She has always had a deep love for animals and grew up with dogs, cats, and horses. Dr. Duarte graduated from Baylor University in 2016 then received her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. While attending Baylor, Dr. Duarte met her husband. He is a native of Mason, Texas, and she now also proudly calls Mason “home.”

Dr. Duarte started her veterinary career as an associate veterinarian at a mixed animal practice in Waco, Texas then joined the Fredericksburg Equine and Small Animal Services team in August 2022. She loves her profession and enjoys creating a personalized treatment plan for each client and their horses or pets. Her greatest professional interests include equine reproduction, diagnostic imaging, and small animal preventative medicine.

Dr. Duarte’s family includes her husband (Andy) and their four dogs (Presley, Briles, Trinity and Pantha) who are all rescues. In their spare time, the Duarte family enjoys going to watch Baylor athletics and spending time outdoors. Dr. Duarte is very excited to be a part of the Texas Hill Country community and looks forward to building relationships with FESAVS clients and their animals.
