Lacey Campbell was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Texas. She started her medical career by working with humans, first as a medical assistant at The Fredericksburg Clinic then later as a phlebotomist and bus driver for the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center. In 2016, she made the switch to animal medicine and began working as a vet tech at Babcock Hills Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio. Lacey brought her love for animals back home in August 2022 when she joined the Fredericksburg Equine and Small Animal Services team as a receptionist.

According to Lacey, her name literally means “cheerful crooked mouth”; she feels she was appropriately named since she likes to approach life with just that- a cheerful smile and ahelping hand. Throughout her life Lacey has loved many animals. Currently she has 3 cats- Cat Baby, Harper and Quartz, and 2 dogs- Bunny Emma and Cash Jones. She is engaged with a summer 2023 wedding planned. In her free time, Lacey enjoys spending time with family, exploring the roads of Texas, and rural roadside photography.
